The Tour de Chesapeake was an annual event where families and friends could join fellow riders for a weekend of bike riding and exploring fun. Damages from Hurricane Isabele in 2003 caused so much damage to roads that the event was caneled and has yet to be reshceduled. You can, however, still visit Mathews County and tour the scenic waterside settings from the seat of your favorite cycling machine on a variety of available tour routes. See the legendary New Point Comfort Lighthouse, Bethel Beach Nature Preserve, historic Mathews Courthouse Square, Gywnn's Island, or take a free boat cruise from Williams Wharf, and much more.
